What to Bring

We recommend you bring clothing and equipment appropriate to the weather and climate of your destination and for the type of holiday you have chosen.

Please keep in mind that it is always respectful to dress modestly and we suggest the emphasis should be on comfortable clothing.

The following items are a must on your packing list to ensure that your trip is as comfortable as possible:

  • sturdy walking shoes
  • mosquito and insect bites repellents
  • rain coat
  • hat
  • sun cream
  • sun glasses
  • lightweight long sleeve tops and long pants
  • swimming costume
  • warm clothes (especially if you travel in between May to August)
  • flashlight
  • extra battery for your camera
  • small first aid kit, including travel medications

In the event that your holiday involves camping/bivouacs, please also bring the following additional kit:

  • sleeping bags
  • water purification bottle and tablets
  • a Swiss Army knife or similar (packed in checked-in baggage, not hand luggage)

Luggage

To ensure that you are not delayed at the airport or need to leave items behind, please limit baggage to one suitcase of 20kgs which is the allowance on the domestic flight + one piece of hand luggage (07Kgs). Limits may vary between airlines so it is a good idea to check before you depart to ensure that all of your luggage can enter and leave Madagascar with you.
